Settings & account
Settings is where you tune FCMS to your business — your company details, the currency you trade in, your branches, receipt printers, and licensing. Your account is where you manage your own sign-in.
Access
Most of settings needs the Settings permission, and branch or company edits are usually owner/admin territory. Your personal account is always yours to manage, whatever your role.
Company profile
Your company's name, address, and contact details. These identify your business across FCMS and appear on receipts and reports, so keep them current.
Open Settings
Web: Settings in the sidebar. Mobile: the Settings tab.
Edit company details
Update the company name, address, and contact information, then save.
Display & currency
Choose the currency you trade in and how amounts are shown. Setting this once keeps every price, cost, and report consistent throughout the app.
Note
Pick your currency early, before you enter prices and costs in earnest — it's the unit every money figure in FCMS is read in.
Branches
Review and edit your branches (locations) and see the devices registered to each. You can edit an existing branch or add a new branch here. For how branches work day to day — first-time setup, switching, and licensing — see Set up your branch.
Licensing
Check your license status at a glance: whether each branch is activated, when it expires (or shows no expiry), and how many devices are allowed.
On mobile
On mobile you activate a license on the device from settings. A licensed branch unlocks the full feature set; an unlicensed one runs in a limited mode.
Inventory settings
Controls how stock is handled for the active branch. The main option is Auto-deduct spoilages from stock:
- On — recording a spoilage or wastage also logs it as Stock Usage and reduces the item's current stock.
- Off (default) — spoilages and wastages are recorded for reporting but don't change on-hand stock; you book the loss through the Ending Inventory count instead.
You can also flip this switch straight from the Record dialog on the Spoilage screen — it's the same branch-wide preference either way.
Leaving the two methods mixed counts the same loss twice, so choose one. See Record spoilage for the full walkthrough.
Printers (mobile)
On mobile you can connect thermal receipt printers over Bluetooth, then print receipts straight from a sale.
Open Printers
Mobile: Printers in settings.
Add and test a printer
Pair the printer, add it, and run a test print to confirm it's working before your first sale.
On the web app
Printer setup lives in the mobile app, which talks to Bluetooth hardware directly. The web app focuses on management and reporting.
Your account
Your account holds your personal profile and sign-in. From here you can review your details, sign out, and — if you ever need to — permanently delete your account.
Tip
On a shared device, always sign out when you're done so the next person starts fresh. On mobile, the device stays registered to your company, keeping your data private to it even between sign-ins.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account and your company at any time, from either the web app or the mobile app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Heads up
Only the company owner (the root account) can delete the account. Team members don't see this option. Deletion removes the whole company, not just your personal login.
Deleting your account permanently erases your company and all related data from FCMS and from the device you're using, including:
- Company profile, branches, and registered devices
- All team member accounts and role assignments
- Inventory data — items, categories, recipes, and so on
- Sales, purchase, transfer, and stock-usage records
- Financial records — revenues, expenses, spoilages, and so on
Once deleted, none of this can be recovered. Any other devices still signed in to the company lose access on their next sync.
Note
To make sure it's really you, deletion takes two steps: your password, then a 6-digit verification code emailed to the owner's address. The code is only sent after your password is confirmed, so a wrong password never triggers an email. Each code expires in 5 minutes. You can request a new one after a short countdown (30 seconds to start) — and that wait grows the more times you resend in a row, so the code can't be requested over and over.
On the web app (this app)
Open your account
Go to Account from the sidebar.
Open the Danger zone
Scroll to the Danger zone card and choose Delete company account.
Confirm your password
Enter your account password and choose Continue. Once it's confirmed, a 6-digit code is emailed to the owner's address.
Enter the code and delete
Type the 6-digit code from your email, then choose Permanently delete. Use Resend code if it doesn't arrive (available again once the countdown ends). Your company and all of its data are wiped and you're returned to the sign-in screen.
On the mobile app
Open Settings
Open the Settings tab.
Go to Delete Account
Under Security & Privacy, tap Delete Account.
Acknowledge the warning
Read the deletion warning, tick the confirmation checkbox, then tap Delete my account.
Confirm your password
Re-enter your account password. Once it's confirmed, a 6-digit code is emailed to the owner's address.
Enter the code, then proceed
Type the 6-digit code from your email (tap Resend if needed, available again once the countdown ends), then retype the confirmation phrase to proceed. Your company and all related data are permanently deleted from FCMS and from the device, and the app restarts.
You've reached the end of the guide. Head back to Welcome any time, or pick a chapter from the menu to revisit it.
